The necessity of the world peace movement
The
struggle for world peace has become urgent in view of the world situation
today. The weakening of the socialist camp in the world, the various divisions
in the democratic and progressive camps in the country have become a threat to
politics and social stability. In many parts of the world, terrorism,
militancy, separatism, religious extremism, and religion-caste-race-ethnicity,
superiority are pushing human society to the brink of division.
The
image of conflict-war-conflict in different states and societies is the
negative form of these elements. After the end of the Cold War, the center of
gravity shifted to America and the capitalist countries of the West, putting
world civilization in danger. These powerful countries are wreaking havoc in
the Middle East. Humanity is being bloodied every day in the countries of the
Middle East and North Africa. The imperialist powers are desperate to plunder
the oil and mineral resources of these countries.
They
are disrupting the regional balance by fragmenting the countries of the Middle
East while selling arms equally to the warring countries. Weapons and money are
being used to keep religious extremist forces and conflicts alive. World
democracy will not be possible without democratization of the state and society
and protection of the rights of all people. To this end, the governments of all
countries must come forward to ensure a balanced distribution of state
resources, growth and economic prosperity, the elimination of all forms of
inequality, the human rights of all people, and the provision of livelihood.
More
than 12 lakh Rohingyas have been displaced from Myanmar and taken refuge in Bangladesh.
The Myanmar government and its majority community are intolerant of ethnic
minorities, choosing the path of oppression and torture. The world community
must speak out for the Rohingya to return home and live with all their rights
in safety.
The
World Peace Council can organize interfaith intercultural dialogue to promote
harmony, tolerance and empathy among people around the world. Writers, artists,
intellectuals and cultural activists from all over the country will be active
in the Peace Council to read a benevolent state and humane society - this is
the call of world humanity today.
