In the light of recent research, Sufi saint Lalon Shah and his religious thoughts
The question may arise, did
Fakir Lalon Shah have no caste religion? On what shore, in what religion, where
was he born, does he need to have or know any exact history? Is it really a
matter of denying the birth, birthplace and history of this great Sufi saint,
mystic poet, following the words and verses of those who say that there is no
caste of Lalon?
The first biography of Lalon
was written by Shri Basanta Kumar Pal. In his book he describes Lalon Shah as a
Kayastha child. Name- Lalon Chandra Das, Mother's name- Padmavati, place of
birth- Kushtia, village-bharara. When Lalon contracted smallpox while returning
from a pilgrimage in his youth, his companions threw him into the river. Then a
Muslim woman rescued him and brought him up. Gunmugdha Lalon then converted to
Islam and took the bayat in the hands of a mystic Sufi saint named Siraj Shai.
This story has been circulating for decades and centuries.
However, the renowned
researcher Professor Abu Taleb, Principal Anwarul Karim, Researcher Abdul Wali,
Abdel Mannan in their research evidence and Lalon-disciple Duddu Shah (resident
of Lalon's village) in Lalon's life based 'Kalmi Punthi', Lalne is born a
Muslim Zinaidaha (formerly Kushtia) not only proved it, but also wrote many
research references and essays on it. Yet dramas, movies, stories, essays are
being written with those false and fictional stories. Sufi Lalon is now being
researched in the international arena based on false stories. There is no
protest from our intellectual circles and government ministries. A degenerate
Baul class named Lalon community is carrying on initiation, begging, sex in the
name of 'Lalonshahi religion', the administration is silent. Lalon Shah of Sufi
Silsila is being made Baul today.
In this article, I have tried
to shed some light on the true birthplace of Sufi saint Lalon Shah, his family
identity, his fakir lineage. The so-called Baul Lalon Shah died was known as
Fakir Lalon Shah and Lalon Fakir. The Fakiri community and the Baul community
are not one.
The origin of the Baul
community is from the Hindu clan. In Aryaswamy Dayananda Saraswati's famous
book 'Satyartha Prakash' he mentions Kartabhaja, Bam Margi, Beej Margi, Chuli
Margi, Apa Panthi, Aghori Baul communities, all of whom are non-Muslims. In his
so-called Baul theory or Baul sadhana, the name of the body theory which speaks
of the stigma of sexual filth is not the name of the evil Muslim Lalon Shah or
his followers. But today Lalon Shah is being tarnished by leaving him in the
inferior degenerate Baul team. By promoting his Sufi practice as Baul practice,
he is being made a so-called 'humanist' plaintiff by deviating from his
religion of Islam. Which is a great conspiracy to denigrate Sufi saint, mystic
poet Lalon Shah and Sufism.
The question arises, is there
any religion of humanity greater than Islam in this world? In the religion that
says, 'No matter how great a worshiper you are, if you sleep on your stomach
and your neighbor (regardless of religion) is hungry, then Paradise is
forbidden for you.
Lalon is a pure Muslim. He was
born in a Muslim family in Kulbere-Harishpur village of Harinakund police
station in Jessore district. Father Garibullah Dewan and mother Amina Khatun.
The houses of Sufi Siraj Sai, Sadhak Panju Shah and Lalnasishya Duddu Shah are
also in the same village.
Siraj Sanji, Panju Shah and
Duddu Shah, Shukkur Shah and Lalon Shah were all married. Except Lalon Shah,
everyone has subordinate men. Only Lalon has no son or daughter. But the
northern men of his brother Kalam Shah are in Harishpur. He has the hadith of
his hometown. There is Lalon Academy School here.
What is the reason that our
so-called researchers did not come to Harishpur, the birthplace of Lalon? They
have read the fictional history of Basanta Pal and made Muslim Lalon Shah a
Hindu.
There are details of him in the
book written by Lalon-disciple Duddu Shah. The exact date of his birth and
death is mentioned.

Recently Lalon-Siraj's
Sijranama or Guru-Kul-Lipi has been quoted. It is known that he was a
Chishti-Nizami sectarian fakir. As a disciple or caliph of the Sufi saint Siraj
Shah, he was the spiritualist saint of the famous Sufi Shah Amanat Shah (RA)
(Chittagong) Khilafati Silsila Gharana. (Caesarean section is given in the

Lalon Shah and Lalon Geetika -
There is true information in the writings of many Muslim writers including
Muhammad Abu Talib).
Adham Kangal mentions in his
Sahi Akkel Nama,
“Chheraj Sai Darvesh's
Taleb
Lalon Shah his name,
Mulluke whose rhythmic song
composition is complete. ”
The famous researcher Dr.
Upendra Nath Bhattacharya himself went to the village of Bharara, the so-called
Bharara Kumar Pal Mahasaya, and found no truth in the story of his alleged
Lalon Chandra Das or his mother's name, Padmavati. He therefore made it clear,
“No reliable information has been gathered about Lalon's biography. I have
tried for years, but all the rumors about him are often rumored. ”
Based on this, Professor
Muhammad Abu Talib said, "Sadly, he did not have the opportunity to go to
Harishpur to find out information about Lalon, so he was deprived of the
opportunity to find out the truth about Lalon's biography." Similarly,
Basant Kumar Pal has also been deprived.
In a letter to the present
registrar, Basant Kumar Babu also admitted that he had not known or seen any of
the aforesaid and published statements of Duddu Shah or Abdul Wali.
Professor Muhammad Abu Talib,
in his essay 'Material Information and Truth of Lalon Charit', said, 'Needless
to say, almost all the problems that have been going on for so long about
Lalon's personal life, religion and period have been solved by getting Duddu
Shah's book. Not only that, but various relevant documents have also been cited
recently to help unravel the complexities of conventional life stories. ”

On some curious tinets and
practice of certain classes of Fakirs in Bengal cÖeÜ †j‡Lb," Another renowned and most melodious versifier
whose Duha are the rage of the lower classes and sung by boatmen and others was
famed Lalan Shah.He was desciple of Seraj Shai and both were born at the
village Harishpur, Subdivision Jhenidha, District Jessore. (Journal of the
Anthropological Society of Bombay , 1900-V No.4) Here the researcher calls
Harishpur not just Lalon's abode, but 'Janmabhoomi'.
Prominent Lalon researcher
Professor Anwarul Karim, whose home is in Jessore district, was in Jhenaidah
subdivision for a long time; He himself went to Harishpur in Kulber and
inquired about Mahatma Lalon.
He talked to Mr. Rafi Uddin,
middle son of late Panju Shah, a resident of Harishpur, Fakir Atal Shah,
120-year-old Ahadali, 70-year-old Abdul Aziz and confirmed that Lalon Shah
Kulber is a resident of Harishpur and has published a genealogy.

Three sons, Alam, Kalom and Jamal (Lalon).

Bibi -> Khepa. "There is no doubt today that he was a Muslim and his
home was at Harishpur in Kulber in Jhenaidah subdivision of Jessore
district" (Baul poet Lalon Shah-- Professor Anwarul Karim).
Lalon Shah was an authentic
Sufi saint. Sufis of many Sufi sects, including Chistia, Kaderia, and
Kalandaria, adopted music as a means of spiritualism. They were believers in
music. Khwaja Moin Uddin Chishti, Qutb Uddin Dehlabi, Farid Uddin Shakarganj,
Jalal Uddin Panipathi, Nizam Uddin Aulia, Sheikh Salim Uddin Fatehpuri and
Hazrat Amir Khasru all made music a means of pursuit. Sufi saint Lalon Shah
also belonged to this group. His words too- catch before life ..... the content
of these music is love of Allah, love of the Prophet, creationism, love of
humanity, brotherhood.
Dr. Suniti Kumar Chattopadhyay
reverently recalls the contribution of Muslim Sufi saints to Indian mysticism.
Dr. Makhanlal Roy Chowdhury said in the context of Hazrat Imam Ghazzali's (ra)
discussion on the mystic music of Sufis, "According to Imam Ghazzali (ra),
alchemy music is like a latent fire in a rock." Just as fire comes out of
the rock by friction and it burns the whole forest, so the fire of the soul
burns at the touch of music.
Fakir Lalon
Shah is a Sufi saint, but his talent is as a lyricist. The purpose of
literature is to create beauty. Feel the source. The feeling of the heart
blossoms and takes the form of juice. Wake up happy. Joy blossoms and
flourishes in literature. In music,
which is only juice, in the form of his invention in literature. In Lalon's
song, there is a wonderful combination of form and juice. So his songs are
music but also literature, which fills the self-consciousness with joy. ” -
(Lalon's song - Dr. Anwarul Karim) Lalon's songs are eloquent. This song is spiritual. His own features have
been added to the performance of his songs. In the history of so-called Baul
music, Lalon's songs have made their mark in the minds of the people.
"Because of this, he highlighted the plight of oppressed people in his
songs.
He was vocal
against caste discrimination, religious, economic and social oppression of the
society. In his songs, he called on people to rise above all narrowness,
selfishness and sectarianism.
He believed
that all human beings are created by one God. Khalifatullah. A child of Adam.
Brothers and sisters. But after birth, man-made religions are divided into
clans and come to be known by different names. Basically everything is one. So
Lalon Shah said,
“When you go to
the well, you get water
When you go to
the Ganges, how much is the Ganges water,
According to
the pot.
Even before
Lalon, no other devotee, philosopher, poet, lyricist has been able to speak in
such an unequivocal language and so Lalon's songs have easily won the hearts of
ordinary and extraordinary people.
Those who want
to say ‘Sabloke Kaya Lalon Ki Jaat Sansare ......’ based on the song, he does
not believe in caste, does not believe in religion, his religion is humanism -
there is no time to say these things.
Lalon Shah was
a firm believer in La-Sharik Allah and Prophet Muhammad (pbuh).

It is pertinent
to note that Lalon's music and Lalon's philosophy of life also had a direct
impact on the monotheistic Brahma religion.

However,
although Brahmanism is based on the so-called monotheism in the
'Tuhfat-ul-Mu'ahhidin', they do not accept the Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) as a
prophet.
“Those who do
not believe in the Prophet are the disbelievers.
He will be
responsible for the infidel, will go to hell without reckoning, will be pushed
... ”
In this song,
just as Lalon spoke of believing in the Oneness of Allah and believing in the
Messenger (pbuh), so he also surrendered himself unconditionally to Allah, the
Messenger.
Allah has sent
man to the earth as 'Khalifatullah' meaning the representative / viceroy of
Allah. Lalon wrote to make this human birth successful, -
“What else will
happen to such a human birth
Do whatever you
want in a hurry.
Sai created
Anantarupa
There is
nothing better for human beings
Worship of gods
and goddesses
Be willing to
be born ... ”
In the
following song, cosmology and physiology are discussed.
"It's nice
to see Sai's leela,
He stabbed the
creation to make it shapeless.

The cosmology
that Lalon Shah discusses in his song is reminiscent of a verse in the Qur'an,
'Fainna Allah khalaka adama ala churaatihi fa'aref nafshaka ta'refu rabbaka'.
Meaning - Allah created Tayla Adam with His similar authority. So you know you.
You know your Lord.
Sufi saint
Lalon has surrendered himself with full faith in Allah and His Messenger
(pbuh).
Lalon
writes, remembering the death of Hazrat Muhammad (pbuh), '
I will never
have a friend like you again,
Don't leave Ogo
Rasul after seeing him.
You are the
friend of God
The goal
without you can no longer be seen.
If you bring us
with the heavenly law
Don't give up
now. "
He said again,
'
If you know
Rasul, then you can know God '.
Lalon was in
love with Allah in his heart.
'Read La Ilaha
Kalema ....'
'Ilahi Almin Go
Allah .... including many' Hamd '.
And the source
of that love is love for Prophet Muhammad (pbuh). His love for Allah was the
love of the Sufis for the lovers.
Attempts are
being made to create a distorted meaning by associating Lalon Shah's anatomical
music with the so-called Bauls' means of sexual intercourse between men and
women, and with the service of a saint
Allah Himself
has said, "Man na gunjam dar jamiyo asma, lekin gunjam dar kbalbo
mumina" (Persian translation). The earth and the heavens are unable to
hold me, but the heart of the believer is able to hold me. Or "Qbalbo
Mumin Arshalla" - the heart of the believer is the throne of Allah. And
"Man Arafa Nafsahu, Fakbad Arfa Rabbahu" - He who knows himself knows
Allah. This is Lalon Shah's physiological music from the source of Islamic
spiritualism. He wrote,

Hazrat Imam Ghazzali's 'Kimia Shadat' has a striking resemblance to the spiritualism and
theology of Lalon Shah's poetry. Such as

He is composing many Nabi Prashasti (Naat-i-Rasul) including Nabi Ain Parash-Ratan
Those who do not obey the Prophet (pbuh) will be pushed to hell without trial.
In addition to this, he has innumerable Sufi songs on Allah's Messenger (pbuh) and Iman Aqeedah.
Such spiritual Sufi music was never composed before or after Lalon Shah.
Fakir Lalon Shah
has sung all the songs of his Nobel Prize winning Song Offerings (Gitanjali).
In Lalon's philosophy, he calls himself 'Rabindra Baul', but in his Sagar Som
Sahitya, He did not mention the name 'Lalon' even once in his autobiography.
A plot has also
been hatched against Lalon Fakik. In Shilaidaha, Padma Jyotirindranath Tagore
painted a portrait of Lalon Fakir on a Padma boat. However, this picture has
been lost. Then the original picture was found. Now it is in the 'Rabindra
Sadan' of Visva-Bharati. There is Starting from
Basant Kumar Pal's fictional 'Lalon Biography', not mentioning Lalon Fakir's
name in Rabindra's writings, his book disappearing, pictures disappearing,
putting Lalon in the group of dirty Bauls, 'Dharmaprachar' in Lalon's name etc.
are part of a deep conspiracy against Lalon Shah. Now Sufi Lalon Fakir is being
separated from Islam in the name of promoting 'Lalon Dharma' at Kushtia's Lalon
Mela.
Sexual Baulguru
names are initiating a class of misguided men and women called 'Lalon Shahi
Dharma'. But in the time of Lalon Shah, neither he nor his followers were
followers of the so-called Baul-path. " For example: -... The stigma we
see of Sadhusebai and Baul's party, there is no such thing in Lalon's community
.... Pardar is a great sin for them ". (A lost genre of Bangla
literature-- Muhammad Abu Talib).
Researcher Abdel
Mannan has further clarified this point in his book 'Lalon Sangeet'. Baulgan or
in 'Chari Chandra Sadhana' he drinks feces, urine, blood and semen. Such an
absurd idea is not only his, but also hundreds of unscientific, unscientific
doctors-professors-researchers like him. And in the abyss of ugly lawlessness
..... Lalonist Sufis live far away from all these evils ".
Fakir Lalon Shah
is an authentic Sufi saint, a believer in Allah, the religion, the hereafter. The apostates are
being taught that Allah, Hari, Islam, Hinduism, Buddhism and Christianity do
not believe in any religion. There is nothing to say about the Creator, the
Last Judgment, the Hereafter.
This misdeed,
this sexual filth, this anti-social practice of atheists in the name of 'humanism',
excluding Sufi Lalon's Islamic communism and spiritualism, is going on year
after year, why there is no protest, no response?
Lalon Shah is a
high level spiritualist, mystic Sufi-saint. But is there no remedy for the
stigma attached to the head of this Muslim scholar by the stigma of 'religion
proponent' and the propaganda of Baul religion?
Of course, there
is. For this, those who are doing research on Lalon's life philosophy and his
true songs, should read his writings. Researcher Abdel Mannan is currently in
the forefront of this work. Highlights the philosophy. We will conclude this
article by quoting from his book "Lalon Darshan". He wrote,
"Lalon Sangeet is not Baul music at all, the declared 'Fakiri music'.
Because, Lalon Fakir is not something like Aul Baul at all. He did not
introduce himself as Baul anywhere. .
